Sacred Well Congregation


The Sacred Well Congregation of Texas, located in Converse TX, is a universalist, independent, non-evangelical Wiccan Church. They are organized for the purpose of conducting and promoting religious worship on alternative Spiritual Paths.

The Church provides open, public venues for the practice of the Old Religions, and promotes community benevolence efforts, spiritual counseling, and religious educational programs. 

SWC is formally affiliated with the Greencraft™ Tradition of Wicca, a branch of the Continental Alexandrian line originating in the Benelux.  Clergy and Kindred practice Traditional Craft Wicca (TCW). 
 
On August 17, 1996, by Charter issued by the Secretary of the State of Texas, the Sacred Well Congregation was incorporated as a Church and non-profit religious organization. 
 
The Fort Hood Open Circle, the first  Wiccan group at a military installation to receive minority faith group status and be assigned a support chaplain, was and is sponsored by SWC.
