Witchcraft discussion is our primary objective. A sense of humor is essential, as well as an inquiring mind. This is a social gathering, NOT a workshop or class, so "guest speakers/teachers" will not be a part of the mix. Generally there is an icebreaker topic to get things moving, then it's open forum on anything related to witchcraft & paganism.
Our group is friendly and accepting, but it's not a politically correct bunch. No question is taboo, or stupid. You are welcome to discuss, challenge, critique any topic. Strong opinions might be presented. Come with a thick skin and critical thinking cap in place.
It is a smaller, more intimate group, so if you don't like large crowds, this might be the place for you! The general RSVP limit is 15-20 adults. This makes the discussion aspect much easier to manage.
Please Note: This Meetup is childfree. Also, this is not a Wicca-specific group. If you are interested primarily in the religion, feel free to check out the Wiccan Meetup located on the menu.
Not Negotiable: We are witch-war neutral. Don't bring personal or local conflicts to the Meetup or message board. Politics (local and national) should be checked at the door. No anti-Christian sentiment, as supportive Christian spouses often attend. Thanks!
Note from Seshen: I will NEVER require a fee for the Meetups. But I do pay a monthly fee for the service, as well as running into the occasional private room fee for good venues. So if the hat is on the table, so to speak, please feel free to drop in what you can, when you can, to offset expenses.
